The following features are new in Novell® Certificate
Server™ 3.1.
- Create Default Server Certificate
wizard: Creates new default server certificates. See Section 4.2.2, Creating Default Server Certificate
Objects.
- Extended Key Usage: Encodes an Extended Key Usage
extension when creating a certificate. See the certificate creation
wizards.
- Custom extensions: Enables Novell Certificate Server
to support any standard or custom extensions that you want to include
when creating a certificate. See the certificate creation wizards.
- Support for 4096 bit keys: Creates a certificate
with 4096 bit key size. See Section 2.0, Overview and the certificate creation
wizards.
- Support for Subordinate CAs: Issues a certificate
with a Certificate Authority key type to be used for certificate
signing and CRL signing. See the Issue Certificate wizard.
- Additional support for Certificate Revocation Lists
(CRLs): See Section 4.5, Certificate Revocation
