1. Import Multiple Projects

The project import wizard supports importing multiple projects at once. Enter the base directory where you would like to start your search from by typing it into the text field provided or by using the browse button to browse to it. The import wizard will search the selected directory and all of its subdirectories for valid Designer projects to import. You can then select the projects that you want to import into Designer using the check boxes.

If a project by the same name already exists in Designer, you will be notified that you can't import that project because it already exists and you won't be able to select it in the list.

2. Zip Support

The project import wizard supports importing projects from zip and tar archives. Either enter the path and name of the archive file in the text box provided or click the browse button and browse to the archive that you want to import from. The whole archive will be searched for valid Designer projects to import.

3. Resources Folder

There is a new resources folder under each project. This folder is meant to contain any files that you want included with your Designer Projects. You can place DSTrace, HTML, XML, Open Office, etc. files in this folder and then use the default editors within Eclipse or on the file system to edit those files. To get files into this folder, you can drag them and drop them from your favorite file browser. On Linux, you'll need to hold down the CTRL key as you drag and drop over the resources folder.

4. Create Subfolders

In the resources folder, you can create your own subfolders to organize your content. Right-click and choose New -> Folder.

5. Rename Folders and Files

You can rename any of the folders or files in the resources folder by right clicking and choosing Rename. You can also press F2 while the file or folder is selected.

6. Refresh Files and Folders

When you place files and folders into the resources folder on your file system using a file browser and not using Designer, they will not show up in the project view until you right click and choose Refresh. You can choose this action on the project, the documentation folder, and the resources folder or any of its children.
