1. Browse eDirectory Trees

Browse any eDirectory Tree from Designer.

This allows you to quickly access any eDirectory/NDS tree or Identity Vault. The browser is just another view so you can arrange it where ever you want it to be. Existing Identity Vaults in your project will inject connection and authentication information into the eDirectory Object Manager so that access is seamless and easy. Of course you can also browse any other tree which is not part of your project; in this case you have to enter the necessary information to access the tree.

To launch the eDirectory Object Manager, choose either "Tools -> eDirectory Object Manager":

or "Live -> Browse Identity Vault":

or "Model -> Identity Vault -> Browse Identity Vault" from the main menu:

or "Live -> Browse Identity Vault" from an Identity Vault's context menu:

2. Generic Editor

Manage Any Object Class and Any Attribute with a Generic Editor.

Did you extend the eDirectory base schema for your project and want to manage your schema extensions through a generic user interface? The generic editor is the way to go. It lets you edit any object class and attribute syntax you want.

3. Customizeable UI Editor (experimental)

Manage Any Object Class and Many Attribute Syntaxes with an adaptive Editor. You define what the editing experience should look like.

Did you extend the eDirectory base schema for your project and want to manage your schema extensions through a customized user interface? The customizeable UI editor allows you to define the layout of the property pages of the objects you want to manage. This way you can adopt the user experience to your needs. You will love the ability to display photos and DN syntax attributes in a nice and easy to manage way.

eDirectory Object Manager actually interprets Advanced Snapins to build up the customized UI. To configure Advanced Snapins, read the documentation on coolsolutions.
