LibC is the standard C runtime library on NetWare® and replaces CLib. LibC supports the NetWare 5.1 and above multiprocessing kernel, virtual memory, address space protection, and other new technologies. They also point toward the future Novell platform.
By tackling the areas of containment and interprocess communication (IPC), our goal is to make porting to LibC painless when coming from CLib and far less painful when coming from another platform than porting to CLib.
This section explores reasons for porting this environment into the NLM™ arena and explains why LibC provides an improved technology for writing NLM applications on the NetWare OS.
