putwchar

Writes a wide character to the stdout stream.

Parameters

wc

(IN) Specifies the wide character to write.

Return Values

If successful, returns the wide character written. If a write error occurs, returns WEOF (-1), sets the error indicator for the stream, and sets errno to one of the following:

An attempt was made to write to a pipe or FIFO that is not open for reading by any process.

Remarks

The putwchar function writes the character specified by the argument wc to the output stream stdout.

The function is equivalent to the following:

     fputwc (wc, stdout);
