Cursor Movement

Right/Left Arrow
Moves the cursor forward or back a character.
Ctrl + Right/Left Arrow
Moves the cursor forward or back a word.
Home/End
Moves the cursor to the start or end of the line.
Ctrl + Home/End
Moves the cursor to the start or end of the document.
Up/Down Arrow
Moves the cursor up or down a line.
Page Up/Down
Moves the cursor up or down a page.

Text Selection

Esc
Turns off the current text selection.
Ctrl + A
Selects the entire document.
Shift + mouse-click
Extends the current text selection to the new cursor position.
Shift + Right/Left Arrow
Extends the current text selection forward or back a character.
Shift + Ctrl + Right/Left Arrow
Extends the current text selection forward or back a word.
Shift + Home/End
Extends the current text selection to the start or end of the line.
Shift + Ctrl + Home/End
Extends the current text selection to the start or end of the document.
Shift + Up/Down Arrow
Extends the current text selection up or down a line.
Shift + Page Up/Down
Extends the current text selection up or down a page.

Text Editing

Insert
Toggles between insert and typeover mode.
Delete
Deletes the current character or text selection.
Backspace
Deletes the previous character or text selection.
Ctrl + Delete
Deletes from the current character to the end of the line.
Enter
(Insert mode) Inserts a line break at the cursor. (Typeover mode) Moves the cursor to the start of the next line.
Tab
(Insert mode) Inserts a tab (three spaces) at the cursor. (Typeover mode) Moves the cursor forward a tab (three spaces).
Shift + Tab
Moves the cursor backward a tab (three spaces).
