3.0 Client Socket

The Client Socket UCX component (NWCliSkt) is a single-object component that is used to connect to a server. It provides an easy mechanism of socket programming and client-server programming for scripting languages on NetWare. This component supports connection-oriented protocols such as Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Sequenced Packet Exchange (SPX) in both synchronous and asynchronous modes. As a developer, you need not understand the minute details of network protocols or low-level socket programming APIs to include the features of this component into your programs. The user will be able to connect to any server independent of the platforms that are supporting these protocols.
