The IO class maintains all IO subsystem objects. IO subsystems define a driver interface and create the adapter and device objects that are reported by the drivers associated with the IO subsystem. Currently, the NetWare Peripheral Architecture is the only IO subsystem recognized and supported by NovellĀ®.
The registration of an IO subsystem object is currently beyond the scope of this document.
An IO subsystem object's generic information can be obtained by calling MM_ReturnObjectGenericInfo. The IOSubsystemGenericInfoDef structure is returned for the IO subsystem OBID.
