HAM_Set_IDE_Device_Config (Function 0x04)

Sets the IDE-ATA device configuration with the HAM, allowing the CDM to use special commands as they appear in the IDE-ATA specification.

This routine is identified by the following information in the HACB's command area:

Remarks

Although this function is a hacbType = 0 function, implementing it is optional.

If this function is never used to change the drive configuration, the default is used. The calling process is required to pass a pointer to the data structure containing the desired configuration information.
