Using the eDirectory Report and Notification Service, you can control how and where DirXML® status information is delivered.
DirXML generates status documents in XML format to report driver and engine events. Status documents are rich with information including which driver generated the message, how serious a problem is, a description of the problem, and a reference to its source.
The Report and Notification service uses a configuration document to define how status documents are routed. The configuration document is an XML document that specifies parameters such as e-mail addresses, log file names, etc. By default, the configuration document specifies the creation of separate report files for the driver set and each driver to track error and warning messages.
Using Novell® iManager, you can customize the configuration document to set up reporting schemes that will meet your needs.
