The driver writer requested that the following information be supplied in order to import this pre-configured driver file.

The name of the driver contained in the pre-configured driver file is ''EP-ActiveDirectory-Exchange''.  Enter the actual name you want to use for the driver.

Driver name:




Active Directory account with administrative privileges to be used by DirXML. Enter the full LDAP name or User Principal Name, for instance [CN=DirXML,CN=Users,DC=mycorp,DC=com] or [DirXML@mycorp.com]. Not required if the driver is running on the same machine as Active Directory and local service access to AD has not been disabled.

Authentication Id:




Active Directory account password. If you change the account password in Active Directory you must also update the password in DirXML.

DNS name or IP address of Active Directory domain controller to use for synchronization in LDAP URL format. For example [LDAP://mycontroller.domain.mycorp.com] or [LDAP://192.45.124.19]. Not required if the driver is running on the domain controller you use for synchronization

Authentication Server:




Name of Active Directory domain in LDAP format, for example [DC=AD,DC=MyCorp,DC=com]. Users will be managed in the CN=Users container subordinate to this object [CN=Users,DC=AD,DC=MyCorp,DC=com]. Placement can be changed after import completes using the subscriber Placement Rules.

Domain Name:




DNS name of Active Directory domain managed by this driver, for example [ad.mycorp.com].

Domain DNS Name:




The number of minutes to delay before querying Active Directory for changes. A larger number reduces load on Active Directory but also reduces the responsiveness of DirXML.

Driver Polling Interval:




Select secure authentication or simple bind. This parameter rarely needs to be changed from its default because the driver will auto-negotiate security levels with Active Directory. Certain security patches to AD turn off this feature and this parameter gives you the option of manually selecting a simple bind to AD.

Use Secure Authentication:




The name of the Organization object created in the WorkForce Tree during the eDirectory installation.

This Driver is pre-configured as a remote driver.  The following prompts are required for setting up authentication for remote driver processing.  Enter the Host Name or IP Address and Port Number where the Remote Loader Service has been installed and is running for this driver.
