During normal Excelerator XL 1.0 cache device operations, various events occur and are tracked.
Some of these events are routine, such as Configuration Changed or Login Succeeded.
Other events, such as System Down or Licensing Error, can seriously impact device services. Chances are good that you will want to be alerted when events of this kind occur.
Excelerator XL 1.0 lets you create profiles to manage the tracking and reporting of device events. Each profile lets you specify a set of events to track and how you want to be alerted when an event occurs. For example, you might have the events in one profile simply logged for later review, while the events in another profile generate immediate notification through multiple methods, including e-mail, SNMP, and Syslog.
