Major Issues Addressed in Excelerator 2.2 Service Pack 2

Service Pack 2 was built on the Service Pack 1 release of Excelerator 2.2. For a list of the issues that were addressed in Service Pack 1, see Table .

The maximum buffer allocated for certificate creation was set to 1,024. This caused the system to not create certificates as expected. The limit has been increased to 2,048.

Log Options > Old File Options settings were not being retained by the system.

Password inconsistencies

The Web management interface was allowing spaces in passwords, but the command line was not.

In Service Pack 2, spaces in passwords are not permitted in either interface.

The system was not recognizing letter case changes to a log push name or password. The original cases were being retained after a change request.

Bad connection to CERN parent

When an Excelerator proxy was using a CERN parent over a high latency connection, and the client canceled a fill request, the proxy was resetting the connection prematurely. This caused users to get a 502 gateway error.

After downloading more than 64 log files, closing the FTP client caused the system to restart.

The system now limits the number of client IP addresses in an Access Control List to eight, in both the Web management interface and the CLI.

Trying to stream at a rate less than 1,000 bits per second caused the system to restart.
