Each link takes you to a detailed description of the sample application. Where appropriate, you will also find implementation instructions, in-depth explanations of the techniques demonstrated by the sample, and references to relevant conceptual and procedural information.
SilverStream provides a set of 3GL code examples to help you learn about the kinds of objects and applications you can develop in external IDEs (such as JBuilder, VisualCafe, InLine, or Dreamweaver). Examples include EJBs, JSPs, servlets, and Java clients.

Sample applications are installed on your hard drive and accessible as Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere databases when you install the SilverStream server with specific options. After installation, you must add the sample databases to your server before you can run the applications.
To install and run sample applications:
Install the SilverStream server with these options:
Select one of these installation types:
By default, you can access these databases with the user name dba and password sql.
If you chose Typical install, add sample applications of your choice to your server by selecting Add Database from the Main Designer or by using the SilverCmd AddDatabase command-line tool.
