6.1 Stopping and Restarting the DSI Service in an Active Directory Environment

This procedure is applicable when Novell File Reporter is not installed in a network environment that includes Novell Storage Manager. To stop the DSI service in a network that includes Novell Storage Manager, you must shut down the NSM Engine.

  1. At the server where the DSI service is installed, click Start > Novell > File Reporter > NFR Active Directory Service Interface Config.

    This launches the DSI Configuration Utility.

  2. Click the Stop button to stop the DSI service.

    Once the DSI service has stopped, the button changes to a Start button which you can click to restart the DSI.
