Novell File Reporter requires that a user account be set up for proxy purposes so that the DSI (Directory Service Interface) can access all of the servers for reporting. This proxy account is needed for environments that include Novell Storage Manager as well as those that don’t.
Use an administrative tool for eDirectory to create a user account named NFRProxy and assign the account the [Entry] right to the root of the tree. Assign a secure password to the NFRProxy account. That password will be changed the first time the DSI starts and each time the service is restarted.
