If you want to report on storage resources that reside in an eDirectory network, you must install the Novell Client software on the same Windows server where you install the NFR Agent:
Having the Novell Client installed allows Novell File Reporter to connect to eDirectory and view the storage resources.
At the same Windows server, configure the Service Location Protocol settings within the Novell Client software.
