The Mobility Service installation script starts GMS for you. If the update proceeded normally, all components of GMS should be running.
In a terminal window on the GMS server, become root by entering su - and the root password.
Use the following command to check the status of GMS:
gms status
Use the following commands to manually start and stop GMS:
gms start gms restart gms stop
