3.4 Adding a GroupWise Authentication Source

A GroupWise authentication source is a program that GroupWise Mobile Server can communicate with in order to log in to your GroupWise system. GroupWise Mobile Server needs to contact a POA that has been configured for SOAP in order to authenticate.

  1. In the WebAdmin Console, click System Settings > Authentication > Sources.

  2. On the Sources page, click New GroupWise

  3. In the Authentication Source Name field, specify a name for the authentication source.

    The authentication source name can be any name you want; for example, GroupWise POA.

  4. In the GroupWise Server field, specify the IP address or DNS hostname of the GroupWise POA to use for authentication.

    This POA must have SOAP enabled, as described in Section 2.2, Enabling POAs for SOAP.

  5. In the Port field, specify the port number to use.

    The default port number is 7191.

  6. Select Use SSL if the POA is configured to require a secure SSL connection with GroupWise Mobile Server, as described in Section 2.2, Enabling POAs for SOAP.

  7. Specify a valid GroupWise username and password, as described in Section 2.3, Selecting a Test User and POA, so that GroupWise Mobile Server can authenticate to the POA you specified above.

  8. Click Save.

    A message information you that GroupWise Mobile Server has successfully connected to the POA.

  9. Click Done.
