A command task could not be added to a message body, rc = xxxx.

Cause
File output error, probably because of a full disk or an inaccessible directory.

Response
If rc = D109, check access rights and privileges in the WPCSIN directory.

The communications link to the foreign mail system is down.

Cause
GroupWise-to-foreign communication mechanism failed.

Response
Check and reestablish communication to the non-GroupWise system.

Configuration data is missing from the database.

Cause
The domain database (WPDOMAIN.DB) is probably corrupted.

Response
Rebuild the User and Message databases.

ConvertPerfect error while converting attachment file filename.

Cause
ConvertPerfect** may not know how to convert this type of file, the file could not be decrypted, or a file I/O error occurred.

Response
None.

ConvertPerfect not found to convert attachment file.

Cause
A message specifies attachment conversions allowed, it has attachments, and the ConvertPerfect program cannot be found. The program must have been deleted inadvertently.

Response
Make sure the conversion NLMs (CV*.NLM) reside in SYS:SYSTEM.

Correlation DB logic error.

Cause
The correlation database (GWCORR.DB) is corrupted.

Response
Rename GWCORR.DB. A new copy of GWCORR.DB is automatically created.

The currently unhandled command value, xxxx, was received by the gateway.

Cause
An unrecognized command was received.

Response
Resend the command.

Database close error:

Cause
Database error on close of correlation database.

Response
Rename GWCORR.DB. A new copy of GWCORR.DB is automatically created.

Database context determination error: xxxx.

Cause 1
The gateway is not configured.

Response 1
Configure the gateway.

Cause 2
Database read error.

Response 2
Database is missing data or the data is corrupted.

Cause 3
Make sure the database is accessible.

Response 3
Rebuild the database.

Database initialization error: xxxx.

Cause
The gateway database management code could not be initialized.

Response
None.

Database open error: xxxx.

Cause
The gateway configuration database path could not be created, or the database did not open.

Response
Make sure WPDOMAIN.DB is in the domain directory.

Database read error: xxxx.

Cause 1
The gateway configuration database, WPDOMAIN.DB, could not be read for configured information. The database is corrupted, or the database file lock failed.

Response 1
Rebuild the User and Message databases.

Cause 2
The message correlation database, GWCORR.DB, could not be read and is probably corrupted, or a memory error or database lock failed.

Response 2
Rename GWCORR.DB. A new copy of GWCORR.DB is automatically created.

Database write error: xxxx.

Cause
A GWCORR.DB database transaction failed. Also, there may be a memory error or a database lock failure, the disk may be full, or the network may not be responding.

Response
Check to see if the disk is full, check to see if a machine has the database locked, and check network response.

Deferred delivery file I/O error—encryption error.

Cause
An encrypted non-queue file was moved to the \GWHOLD directory.

Response
Do not put any files in /GWHOLD, remove any files not named with a HEX time stamp, and restart the gateway.

Deferred delivery file I/O error—message undeliverable.

Cause
Message could not be written to disk in the /GWHOLD/QFILES directory.

Response
Check to see if the disk is full, and check access to the directory.

Deferred delivery file I/O error—memory error.

Cause
The gateway machine ran out of memory.

Response
Free more memory by loading a memory manager and removing TSRs

Deferred file, filename, has been moved to the PROBLEM directory.

Cause
The gateway failed too many times while it was attempting to process the named file.

Response
None.

File close error on file filename in module xxxx.

Cause
A close of the named file resulted in an error.

Response
None.

File creation error on file filename in module xxxx.

Cause
An attempt to open the named file resulted in an error.

Response
Check access in the named directory.

File open error on file filename in module xxxx.

Cause
An attempt to open the named file resulted in an error.

Response
Check access to the named file and directory, and check access to the file.

File read error on file filename in module xxxx.

Cause
An attempt to read the named file resulted in an error.

Response
Check access to the named file.

File write error on file filename in module xxxx.

Cause
An attempt to write the named file resulted in an error.

Response
Check access in the named directory, and check to see if the disk is full.

A gateway that uses this directory is not yet defined.

Cause
The gateway has been installed, but it is not yet configured.

Response
Configure the gateway.

The Gateway Configuration Database could not be found.

Cause
The directory where WPDOMAIN.DB resides cannot be found, given the gateway’s default directory and the gateway startup options.

Response
Use the gateway directory startup option /home to reference the directory below \WPGATE where the gateway executable file resides, or simply invoke the executable from that directory.

Memory exhausted while processing an Administrator Command.

Cause
The gateway ran out of memory while it was processing an incoming command.

Response
Free up more base memory by loading a memory manager and removing TSRs.

Memory exhausted.

Cause
The gateway was not able to allocate sufficient memory.

Response
Free up more base memory by loading a memory manager and removing TSRs.

Message File open failed.

Cause
The gateway could not open a message file.

Response
The message file is moved to the \WPCSOUT\PROBLEM directory in the domain directory.

Message requeuing failed. The message must be deleted.

Cause
A message could not be put into or removed from the delayed delivery and the retry queue maintained under the \GWHOLD directory because of a disk or a memory error.

Response
Check access to the \GWHOLD and \QFILES subdirectories, check to see if the disk is full, and free more base memory by loading a memory manager and deleting TSRs.

Message transport session open error: xxxx.

Cause
There is a memory error.

Response
Free up more base memory by loading a memory manager and removing TSRs.

Processing inbound message...

Cause
This is an informational message. The gateway is receiving a message from the foreign system.

Response
None.

Processing outbound command...

Cause
This is an informational message. A command was sent to the gateway. Commands are STATE, REQUEST STATS, REBOOT, and DIRECTORY SYNCHRONIZATION.

Response
None.

Processing outbound message...

Cause
This is an informational message. The gateway is receiving a message from the GroupWise system.

Response
None.

Scratch-pad file creation error: xxxx.

Cause
The gateway settings file, “SET,” could not be created.

Response
Check access (write or create) to the XXX.PRC directories, and check to see if the disk is full.

Scratch-pad file write error: filename.

Cause
The gateway settings file, “SET,” could not be written.

Response
Check access (write or create) to the XXX.PRC directories, and check to see if the disk is full.
