Before You Update
Before updating your GroupWise* 5 or 5.1 software to GroupWise 5.2,
please be aware of the following:
- GroupWise Administrator now requires NetWare Administrator* for
Windows 95** (NWADMN95.EXE) or NetWare Administrator for Windows NT**
4.0 (NWADMNNT.EXE). If NWADMN95.EXE or NWADMNNT.EXE is not installed,
the GroupWise Installation Advisor will install it. GroupWise
Administrator can no longer be run under NetWare Administrator for
Windows** 3.1 (NWADMIN.EXE).
- You must run the GroupWise Installation Advisor and GroupWise
Administrator from a Windows 95 workstation that is using the most
recent version of the IntranetWare/NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95 or a
Windows NT 4.0 workstation that is using the most recent version of the
IntranetWare/NetWare Client 32 for Windows NT. You can download
IntranetWare/NetWare Client 32 (95enu_n*.exe, where * is a number
indicating the most recent version, or NTenu*.exe) from
http://support.novell.com.
Note: On the Novell Support Connection page, you can click Search,
enter 95enu*.* or ntenu*.* in the Enter Filename box, then click Find
to locate the file.
- You now have the option of installing the Macintosh** GroupWise
client, the UNIX** GroupWise agents, GroupWise Monitor, GroupWise
WebAccess, and GroupWise Internet Agent. GroupWise Monitor works with
ManageWise* to let you monitor your GroupWise agents. GroupWise
WebAccess works with an HTTP server to let GroupWise users access their
mailboxes through a Web browser. GroupWise Internet Agent enables users
to send and receive e-mail throught the Internet. The UNIX GroupWise
client is also available on a separate GroupWise CD.
- Users of the Windows 95/NT GroupWise client now have Imaging and
Workflow available to them. The client setup program will prompt them to
install these features.
