Accessing Your GroupWise Mailbox

After installing the GroupWise Connector for Outlook, your GroupWise account should automatically appear in the log in screen. If it does not appear you need to create a GroupWise Account in Outlook. You need to know your username, password, Post Office Agent address, and the Post Office Agent port number. You cannot access GroupWise without this information. If you have not yet received information, contact your system administrator.

To Create a GroupWise account:

  1. Start the Microsoft Outlook client.

  2. Click Tools > E-mail Accounts.

  3. Select Add a New E-mail Account, then click Next.

  4. Select Additional Server Type, then click Next.

  5. Select Novell GroupWise, then select Next.

  6. Type the name or TCP/IP address of your GroupWise server. If you do not know the name or TCP/IP address of your server, contact your system administrator for the information.

  7. Type the port number of your GroupWise server. The default port number for GroupWise is 1677; however, your system administator might have changed this. If you do not know your port number, contact your system administrator.

  8. Type your GroupWise user name. If you do not know what your GroupWise user name is, contact your system administrator.

  9. When you are finished setting up your account, click Finish.
