Notes Gateway System Requirements
The Windows* machine on which you run the GroupWise® Gateway for Lotus Notes must meet the following system requirements.

The Windows machine where you install the Notes Gateway must meet the following additional requirements:
- The Lotus Notes client must be installed on the Notes Gateway machine.
- The Notes Gateway machine must have network access to the machine where the GroupWise domain directory is located.
- The Notes Gateway machine must have network access to the Lotus Notes/Domino server.
Ideally, you should not install the Notes Gateway on the Notes/Domino server. Although the Notes Gateway can work on the same server with some versions of Notes, directory synchronization and exchange do not work on the same server with other versions of Notes. However, the Notes Gateway would still be able to exchange messages between the two systems. If you do not want to enable directory synchronization and exchange, you can safely run the Notes Gateway on the Notes/Domino server.
