10.2 Adjusting the Number of Sender and Receiver Threads

The Exchange Gateway can be configured to start from varying numbers of sender and receiver threads, depending on the amount of traffic passing through the gateway. The heavier the traffic, the more threads you should configure the gateway to start. By default, 4 sender threads and 4 receiver threads are started.

Use the /st switch in the Exchange Gateway startup file (gwexch.cfg) to set the number of sender threads. Use the /rt switch to set the number of receiver threads.

Exchange Gateway Web Console You can check the number of sender and receiver threads that are currently available and in use on the Status page.
