1.0 Product Overview

The GroupWise® 7 Import Utility for Microsoft* Outlook* imports your Outlook PST (Personal Folder Storage) files into your GroupWise 7 mailbox or archive.

Refer to the GroupWise 7 Import Utility Quick Start (ImportUtilityQuickStart.pdf) for usage instructions.

2.0 Product Enhancements

This version of the Import Utility, which is compatible with GroupWise 7, includes the following additional enhancement that is not available in the previous version of the utility:

3.0 Known Issues

3.1 Duplicate Contacts

If you import multiple PST files that have the same entries in their Contacts folders, duplicate entries are created in the GroupWise Contacts folder.

3.2 Limitations on Recurring Items

Recurring items are stored in GroupWise as multiple, individual items, rather than as a single recurring item. The Migration Utility stops creating GroupWise items for recurring Exchange items after 365 days or 20 years. For example, a recurring item every day with no end date would be scheduled one year in advance, and an anniversary with no end date would be scheduled for the next 20 years. Items extending beyond these limitations must be rescheduled manually.

3.3 Importing into an Archive

If you encounter a problem importing a PST file into a GroupWise archive, delete the gwmsp132.dll file, then reinstall the Import Utility.

4.0 Additional Documentation

In addition to this Readme, see the GroupWise 7 Import Utility Quick Start (ImportUtilityQuickStart.pdf in the utility installation directory). See also the GroupWise 7 Migration Guide for Microsoft Exchange on the GroupWise Gateways Documentation Web site for complete information about migrating from Exchange to GroupWise.
