Setting Up iChain Proxy Services Parameters

iChain Proxy Services is implemented on a proxy server with special code to support iChain. The iChain Proxy Services parameters are stored in a configuration file. During the installation of the iChain Proxy Services software on the proxy server, the public and private addresses of the server were defined. However, depending on the needs of your particular implementation, you may want to alter these settings or define additional values.

To set up the public and private addresses of the server:

  1. Access the URL of the iChain Proxy Server on which you installed the iChain proxy server software to launch the browser-based administration tool.

The URL must contain either the 10-net management address or the IP address you have already configured for the server, followed by :1959/appliance/config.html. For example,

    http://10.1.1.1:1959/appliance/config.html

  2. Enter the password for the proxy server.

  3. Click Network > IP Addresses and configure the Ethernet adapter ports with the appropriate public and private addresses and subnet masks.
