If you are going to install the driver locally, the server that runs the driver is required to have the following installed:
eDirectory™ 8.73 SP8 or above, or 8.8 SP1 or above
Active Directory
The Active Directory driver is installed during the installation of Identity Manager. See Installing Identity Manager
