8.2 Using the DirXML Command Line Utility

The DirXML Command Line utility provides command line access to manage the driver. This utility is not a replacement for iManager or Designer. The primary use of this utility is to allow you to create platform-specific scripts to manage the driver.

For example, you could create a shell script on Linux* to check the status of the driver. See Section A.0, DirXML Command Line Utility for detailed information about the DirXML Command Line utility. For daily tasks, use iManager or Designer.
