Overview

Novell^® iManager is a Web-based administration console that provides secure, customized access to network administration utilities and content from virtually any place where you have access to the Internet and a Web browser.

iManager includes the following:

• All the functionality of its predecessor, ConsoleOne^®
• Single point of administration for Novell eDirectory^TM objects, schema, partitions and replicas
• Single point of administration for many other network resources
• Management of many other Novell products through a Web browser and various handheld devices
• Role-Based Services (RBS) for delegated administration

iManager is based on Novell exteNd Director^TM Standard Edition software, which provides a portal through which iManager presents its interface. iManager functionality can be extended through software components called plug-ins. Many plug-ins are provided with iManager, and others are available from third parties.
