iPrint Plug-in for Novell iManager

Installation Instructions

This download contains the updated iPrint plug-ins for iManager running on NetWare® or Linux and supports iManager 2.5, and 2.6.

downloading the iPrint Plug-in software:

  1. Click the Download button to download the iPrint plug-in for iManager.
  2. Follow the onscreen prompts to save the file.
  3. Extract the files from the downloaded .zip file.

installation instructions

This download contains two plug-ins or NPMs: one for iManager running on NetWare and one for iManager running on Linux. Use the following sections to install the plug-in you want.

Installing the iPrint Plug-in for iManager running on Linux

  1. Log in to iManager running on Linux.
  2. Click the Configure button.
  3. Click Module Installation > Available Novell Plug-in Modules, then click New.
  4. Browse to the \iPrint Plugin for Linux Servers\iPrint.npm file and select OK.
  5. Place a check next to the plug-in you want to install.
  6. Click Install. This install will take a few minutes.
  7. Restart Tomcat.

Once you log back into iManager, you might need to update the collection with the new plug-ins installed. Please refer to the iManager documentation for more information.

Installing the iPrint Plug-in for iManager running on NetWare

  1. Log in to iManager running on NetWare.
  2. Click the Configure button.
  3. Click Module Installation > Available Novell Plug-in Modules, then click New.
  4. Browse to the \iPrint Plugin for NetWare Servers\iPrint.npm file and select OK.
  5. Place a check next to the plug-in you want to install.
  6. Click Install. This install will take a few minutes.
  7. Restart Tomcat.

Once you log back into iManager, you might need to update the collection with the new plug-ins installed. Please refer to the iManager documentation for more information.

If you are running iManager from a NetWare server that has not been updated to the latest Support Pack or you receive errors during the installation process, ensure that the Read-only file attribute is removed from the following files located on the NetWare server running iManager and reinstall the plug-in. Depending on how iManager was installed, not all of the files might exist or have the Read-only attribute.
