Novell Java Virtual Machine 1.2.2 for NetWare

The Novell JVM for NetWare® is the Java* Virtual Machine (JVM) 1.2.2  that runs Java applications, servlets, and applets. The Novell JVM for NetWare Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows a user to run graphical Java applications.

Added references in the readme file documentation to support NetWare 5.1 products, and added information about the unsupported JNI Invocation APIs in JVM v1.2.2. The JVM 1.2.2 is a new product.
Dependencies
Novell JVM for NetWare supports NetWare 5.1. Please refer to the readme file for more detailed information.

Requirements

NetWare 5.1 or higher with the latest support pack.
Important: Before installing, shut down any installed Novell JVM for NetWare copies.
Follow these steps:
        1. If loaded, unload Novell JVM for NetWare.
        2. Install the latest support pack for NetWare.
        3. Log in to the server as Admin or as a user with Admin rights.
        4. Install Novell JVM for NetWare.

Important Product Compatibility Information
If you plan to install Zenworks for Desktops version 3.0 and Graphical Display on NetWare 5.1, you must complete the following instructions:

    Zenworks for Desktops version 3.0. This requires the installation of Support Pack-1 for Zenworks-3. This support pack is available at
    http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/tidfinder.cgi?2958187.

    Graphical display on NetWare 5.1. The product list dialog displayed in the GUI may contain rectangular boxes where white space should be.
    The following patch will correct this:
    NIS_patch.zip. To use this patch, unzip the patch at the root of the SYS:Volume on the server that has the NetWare JVM 1.2.2 installation. This patch is available at
    http://support.novell.com/servlet/filedownload/nsd/n51_nis1.exe.
