Managing Users and Groups

This chapter describes how to work with the Users and Groups utility to set up and maintain your user base.

The information in this chapter is intended primarily for the network administrator and Workgroup Manager, although any user can carry out some of the jobs described here. A note at the beginning of each section specifies the privileges necessary to perform each task.

HINT: Because Bindery Emulation is used for Macintosh workstations logging in to NetWare 4.0 servers, the NetWare Tools application sees the Admin user as an ordinary user with no special privileges. If you want to enable the Admin user to create users and groups in NetWare Tools, you can assign Supervisor equivalence to the Admin login. See Setting a Security Equivalence.
