Installing and Using the Client Software
This chapter explains how to install the NetWare for Macintosh client software, and describes how to access the full range of NetWare for Macintosh services.
The chapter begins by discussing these topics:
- Checking the minimum hardware and software requirements for each Macintosh workstation
- Installing or upgrading the NetWare for Macintosh client software
When you complete the installation or upgrade, you can use this chapter to learn about the network environment and to make sure your installation is working correctly. The chapter describes these basic network tasks:
- Logging in to a NetWare server
- Mounting a NetWare volume
- Copying folders and files between NetWare volumes, or between a NetWare volume and a local disk
- Creating a folder on a NetWare volume
- Opening Macintosh applications stored on the NetWare server
