Novell SecureLogin 7.0 Service Pack 3 Hotfix 4 improves usability, and resolves several previous issues. Many of these improvements were made in direct response to suggestions from our customers. We thank you for your time and valuable input. We hope you continue to help us ensure our products meet all your needs.
Novell SecureLogin 7.0 Service Pack 3 Hotfix 4 includes the following enhancements and software fixes.
NOTE:For the list of new features, software fixes and enhancements in SecureLogin 7.0 Service Pack 3, see the Novell SecureLogin 7.0 Service Pack 3 Release Notes.
SecureLogin 7.0 SP3 Hotfix 4 supports Mozilla Firefox 17.0.
SecureLogin is now supported on Windows 8. SecureLogin in Windows 8 continues to support all the features that are supported in the previous versions of Windows.
When a user alternates between a Smart card and password login for authentication, the following warning message is displayed:
“Your Cache files have lost synchronization with your directory authentication data. Would you like to delete your cache files and have them re-created?”
You can avoid the alert by configuring the HideCacheReSyncAlert registry key in HKLM\SOFTWARE\\Protocom\\SecureLogin. Set the value to 1 to hide the alert. (BUG 791324)
NOTE:By suppressing the warning message, the user understands that the cache file is automatically recreated, and any offline changes to the SSO data of the user are lost after resynchronization.
Delay in launching SecureLogin is now resolved. (BUG 792257)
SecureLogin Credential Provider now supports logging in to multiple domains and does not limit to the domain the workstation is currently connected to.(BUG 773940)
When you update your credentials through Citrix and launch a published application, the login is processed without the password change information. SecureLogin unlocks similar to when an Administrator changes the password, but fails to display the updated credentials when queried in an application script using ?syspassword. SecureLogin now shows the updated ?syspassword and loads these updated credentials at the startup.(BUG 788650)
This issue is now resolved. Capturing of event through MSAA (page change, modal popup) which is performed at creation is delayed until the change is shown (BUG 795280)
Administrators can now also view the resultant GPO for other objects in ADAM mode, using administration tools like, SLManager or MMC. (BUG 719814)
SSManager.exe can now be downloaded from the Novell Download Site. For more information see, TID 7011696. (BUG 559185)
To resolve this issue, you have to update the appropriate localization file manually when upgrading a non-english version of SecureLogin to SecureLogin 7.0.3 HF4. To update the non-english version of the localization file:
Copy the appropriate language of localhero.dll file from the localization folder. This is in the same directory location as the patch file (.msp).
Replace this localhero.dll file with the localhero.dll file in the SecureLogin installation folder.
NOTE:For a 64-bit version, the file name is localhero64.dll.
This issue is now resolved. For the fix details, see In German Locale the Strings in the SecureLogin Menus and the Passphrase Message Prompt are Displayed in English.
