system requirements

We recommend installing the Novell® Client™ for Linux* 1.1 on workstations running Novell Linux Desktop 9 SP3. If you install on NLD 9 SP2 or SUSE Linux 9.3, make sure the gcc, kernel-source, and make packages are installed first.

The Novell Client for Linux is available for download as a tar.gz file.
  1. Download the client file to your Linux workstation.
  2. Using an archive utility, extract the files to the desired location.

    3. Install the extracted RPMs on the Linux workstation. See Installing the Novell Client for Linux in the Novell Client for Linux Installation and Administration Guide for more information about your installation options.
