Account Management 3.0.2 Update Instructions

Installing the NetWare Server Password Intercept for the First Time

If you are installing Account Management 3.0 for the first time, follow the installation procedures in "Installing and Configuring the NetWare Password Intercept" in Platform Services Quick Start Guide for Windows.

Upgrading the NetWare Server Password Intercept

Novell^® Account Management 3.0.2 includes all of the changes introduced with Support Pack 1. You do not need to install Support Pack 1 before you upgrade to Account Management 3.0.2.

1. With your Web browser, open readme.html from the root of the Account Management 3.0.2 distribution.
2. Using the link in readme.html, retrieve the Account Management 3.0.2 version of ampm.nlm, and copy it to the sys:system folder on the NetWare^® server. You can also obtain ampm.nlm from the File Distribution in the Web interface if the Manager has already been updated.
3. Ensure that the service level of netnlm32.nlm is correct for use with Account Management 3.0.2.
   • NetWare 5.1 SP 5 or higher
   • NetWare 6.0 SP 2 or higher
   If your server is below these service levels, obtain netnlm32.nlm from the Account Management 3.0.2 distribution, copy it to the sys:system directory of your server, and restart the server.
