Restoring the Appliance

If your appliance experiences some kind of failure such as hardware failure or corruption or if you need to replace some of the appliance hardware, you can restore your appliance.

Restoring the appliance

Restoring the appliance can be done at the central office (the restored appliance is shipped to the branch office) or it can be done at the branch office with backup files being transferred to the restored appliance.

HINT:  If you need to add a new hard drive to the appliance, you can add it without having to change the appliance configuration. If you shut down the appliance to add the hard drive, Nterprise Branch Office will detect the hard drive when the appliance is restarted. If you added the hard drive without shutting the appliance down, enter SCAN at the appliance command line to integrate the new hard drive.
