Administering the Portal

If you want to customize Virtual Office, Novell provides you with a powerful software framework that you can use for your company. Virtual Office is managed through a browser-based administration utility called Portal Admin that lets you access the directory objects containing your Novell Portal Services configuration. This utility can be accessed from Netscape* Navigator* 6.0 or later or Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.

You can launch Portal Administrator directly from Nterprise Branch Office Web Administrator.

1. Click Configuration > Portal Administration.

2. On the Portal Administration login screen, specify the fully distinguished supervisor username and password.

   For example: cn=supervisor,o=appusers

3. Click Portal.

You can now administer the portal and customize it to suit your company's needs. Click Help on the Portal Administration screen for more information on specific portal settings. Additional information is available in the Novell Portal Services 1.5 online documentation.
