Setting Up an LDAP Client

LDAP clients use TCP/IP to communicate with LDAP Services for NDS. NetWare client software is not required. Novell® does not develop or release LDAP client software. However, many third-party LDAP client applications are readily available.

  1. On the client workstation, install a network board, the network cabling, and TCP/IP software.

  3. Configure the server connection in the client software.

  4. Bind to the server.

    5.

  5. Complete an LDAP request and review the results.
