Setting Miscellaneous Preferences

You can turn on and off the toolbar tips and menu hints. You can also choose whether to be prompted for confirmation of object deletions, and whether rights information displayed for Alias objects should come from the original object or the Alias.

To Turn on Toolbar Tips and Menu Hints

1. On the View menu, check Show QuickTips and Show Hints.

To Turn off Toolbar Tips and Menu Hints

1. On the View menu, uncheck Show QuickTips and Show Hints.

To Get Confirmation on Object Deletions

1. On the Options menu, check Confirm On Delete.

To Cause Rights Information on Aliases to Be Taken from the Original Object

1. On the Options menu, check Get Aliased Object Trustees.

To Cause Rights Information on Aliases to Be Taken from the Alias

1. On the Options menu, check Get Alias Trustees.
