Create Authentication Secrets (NDS)

Important: If you cancel this dialog box when creating a new User object, an object-key pair (authentication secret) won't be created for the object, and the user won't be able to log in. Each user account must have an authentication secret, even if it's only a null (empty) password.

Tree
Enter the name of the NDS* tree containing the User object you are creating the authentication secret (password) for. For example: ACME_TREE. The tree name is not case sensitive.

Context
Enter the distinguished name of the container that holds the User object you are creating the authentication secret (password) for. For example: SALES.ACME. The container name is not case sensitive.

Username
Enter the common name of the User object you are creating the authentication secret (password) for. For example: DJONES. The username is not case sensitive.

New Password
Enter the login password for the User object. (This is the authentication secret.) For security, only asterisks (*) are displayed as you type. If you don't want the User object to require a password, leave this field blank.
