6.10 Deleting a File

Novell Filr enables you to delete files from any folder where you have appropriate rights. If you do not have sufficient rights, the option is not available to you.

Files in the My Files area can be deleted and then restored from the trash at a later time. Files in Net Folders must be purged and cannot be recovered.

This functionality is available only from the Web interface.

  1. Navigate to the folder that contains the files that you want to delete.

  2. Select one or more files that you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete > Yes.

    This option is available only for files in the My Files area. To remove files from Net Folders, you must purge them.

    or

    To purge the item and permanently delete it, click More > Purge > Yes.

    IMPORTANT:Purged items are permanently deleted from the Filr system as well as from the file system (for files in Net Folders), and cannot be recovered.
