6.0 Network Backup (Amanda)

Amanda, or Advanced Maryland Automatic Network Disk Archiver, is an archiving tool that is able to back up data residing on a single server, or multiple computers on a network, to a tape or disk-based storage system. Amanda uses native dump and GNU tar facilities and can back up a large number of workstations and servers running various versions of Linux, UNIX, or Microsoft Windows operating systems.
