16.3 Post-Installation

After the installation, complete the following for DLU desktop downloads.

  1. Log in to the NOWS SBE console.

  2. Click Desktop Downloads.

  3. Under the Choose Component drop-down menu, select Dynamic Local User, then click Search.

  4. Under Search Results, click dlu- Dynamic Local User Client and dlu- pGina LDAP Registry files.

  5. For both downloads, click Save File.

  6. Install dlu-Dynamic Local User Client from Windows workstation.

  7. Click the pGina LDAP Plugin icon.

  8. Specify pGina user information, then click Next to proceed with installation.

  9. Follow the screen prompts to define your computer’s architecture type.

    • Enter 1 for x86 architecture type.

    • Enter 2 for x86-64 architecture type.

    • Enter 0 to abort install.

  10. Continue as directed by screen prompts.

  11. Verify that the plug-in path in the pgina-ldap-regedit.reg file is correct. It should point to ldapath_plus.dll.

  12. Import the pgina-ldap-regedit.reg registry file by using the Windows Registry Editor.

    1. From your Windows workstation, click Start > Run.

    2. Type regedit, then click OK.

    3. Next, click File > Import and browse for pgina-ldap-regedit.

  13. After installation is complete, test your pGina installation. To test the plug-in from your Windows workstation, click Start > All Programs > pGina > Plugin Tester.

  14. Specify your directory administrator username and password, then click Login.

  15. After the LDAP plug-in is successfully configured, restart your Windows workstation for changes to take effect.

    After the reboot, the login window is DLU instead of the standard Windows login screen. DLU is automatically configured by the pgina-ldap-regit.reg file that has been copied to each Windows workstation’s registry settings.
