NOTE:If you want to install your eDirectory tree on more than three NOWS servers, you must manually configure a read/write replica of eDirectory for each additional NOWS server. See Section 3.6, Setting Up an eDirectory Replica.
To start the eDirectory component install:
Log into the NOWS SBE console.
Click under , then click and select eDirectory. Finally, decide which installation type you want to use:
Basic: Installs a new eDirectory tree. Continue with Section 3.2, Installing eDirectory Basic.
Advanced - New Tree: Installs a new eDirectory tree with more options. Continue with Section 3.3, Installing eDirectory Advanced - New Tree.
Advanced - Existing Tree: Installs this server into an existing eDirectory tree. Continue with Section 3.4, Installing eDirectory Advanced - Existing Tree.
Advanced - Use Remote Tree: Use this option when eDirectory is already installed on a dedicated server and you want components that depend on eDirectory to point to the existing tree. Continue with Section 3.5, Installing eDirectory Advanced - Remote Tree.
The Novell® Remote Manager login is the root user and the root user password.
