CDROM


Purpose

Use at the server console to allow a CD-ROM disc to function as a NetWare volume.


Syntax

LOAD [path ]CDROM [/option... ]

IMPORTANT:  All options are case sensitive.

Parameter Use to

path

Specify the path to CDROM.NLM if you moved it from the default directory.

/option

Replace option with any available option.

Option Use to

/H, /h, or /?

Display a help screen that explains the available options.

When you use this option, the CD-ROM module is not loaded. You must execute the LOAD CDROM command again.

/V=volume_name

Specify a volume to hold the index files. Use this option only if you don't want to use the default volume.

Default: SYS: volume

/DISPLAYON

Display filenames and a directory and file count as the volume is mounting.


Using CDROM

IMPORTANT:  Treat the CD-ROM as a read-only volume. Don't enable block suballocation or use file compression on the volume. These actions corrupt the CD-ROM volume index data.
