Effective Rights
Use the Effective Rights dialog box to view a trustee's effective rights to this object.

This field specifies the trustee whose effective rights are displayed in this dialog box.
- The value is a distinguished name.
- To view the effective rights of a different trustee, click the browse button and browse for the new trustee.

This section of the dialog box displays the trustee's effective object rights to the target resource.

- If you don't understand how this trustee got the effective rights displayed in this dialog box, see How Rights Work.
- The rights shown in this dialog box are not stored in the system database (NDS* or NetWare* file system). They are calculated by the system upon request.
- By default, the rights shown under Property Rights are those that are effective for all properties.
- To see the trustee's effective rights to a single property, click Selected Properties. From the list, choose the property you want.
- For information on any property in the Selected Properties list, look up the property in the index.
