Group Membership
Use the Group Membership page to view or change the list of groups that this user is a member of.

This list specifies the groups that the user is a member of.
- Each entry in the list is a distinguished name of a Group object in the NDS* tree.
- To add the user as a member of a group, click Add and then browse for the Group object you want.
- To remove the user as a member of a group, click the group and then click Delete.
- You can also use the Insert and Delete keys to add and remove groups.
- You can also perform these tasks by directly editing the Members property of each Group object. The system keeps the membership lists in the Group and User objects synchronized.
- The list of Group objects on this page is stored in the NDS database as the Group Membership property of the User object.

- Assigning the user as a member of one or more groups makes it easier to control the user's access to network resources.
- The user is automatically security equivalent to each group he or she is a member of. This allows you to set some rights by group rather than individually for this user.
- You can also use group membership as a condition in the logic of login scripts. See your Novell* client documentation.
- For help with using the Properties dialog box in general, see Using Property Pages.
