Universal password is included in NetWare 6.5 which eliminates the need for simple passwords and removes problems that previously existed with password synchronization. The universal password is not enabled by default. If you enable the universal password, the simple password that was required for Native File Access Protocols in previous releases is no longer necessary. With the universal password feature disabled, simple passwords are still required.
