Viewing statistics on your server can help you become familiar with how your server is running at the various levels listed. This information can also help you to know when to turn system alerts on or off. The following links on the Server Statistical Information page allow you to view this information:
Network Management Information link: Accesses the Network Management Information page, which shows a short list of network management IDs with their corresponding descriptions and current values.
Kernel Statistical Information link: Accesses the Kernel Event Counter Information page, which shows the number and type of events that occur during a sample period on a per-CPU basis.
LSL Statistical Information link: Accesses the LSL Statistical Information page, which shows the statistics generated and maintained by the Link Support Layer™ of the NetWare server.
Media Manager Statistical Information link: Accesses the Media Manager Information page, which monitors requests in the server's disk I/O subsystem (meaning those requests that actually cause access to disk media). File system requests that access the file cache are not monitored. Therefore, it is possible for these statistics to be at zero even when file requests are occurring.
Health Statistic Trend Graphs link: Access the Statistics Trend Graphs page, which lets you select and create specific server statistics trend graphs for the statistics and duration listed. The graphs can cover from the last minute up to the total time the system has been up, depending on the duration you select.
IMPORTANT:Graphs ignore daylight savings time changes. For example, in the Spring when clocks are set ahead, the graphical statistics show a one hour gap at the hour where the server’s clock is reset to daylight savings time. Novell Remote Manager interprets the missing hour as down time.
To access the Server Statistical Information page and view these statistics, click the link in the navigation frame under the heading, then click the applicable link for the statistic you want to view.
